Working with hypnosis with the incredible duo Bullyache and their dancers during their residency at the Barbican Centre, in the development of their new show A GOOD MAN IS HARD TO FIND, exploring the possibilities of our mind-body in movement, expression and attunement.
BULLYACHE is a music duo and dance company that makes working class, queer reconstructions of classical texts through the lens of a pop music video. Our work is dance theatre, live music and performance art. We use music videos as a vehicle to communicate our ideas to audiences. Their iconography, pacing, and layering are tools that we use to experiment with theatre. We imagine ourselves as Pina Bausch cosplaying as Dua Lipa and performing Albums as theatre works.
